At Spartan Air Conditioning, we take pride in providing top notch training to our professionals, so you can rest easy that the work was performed well and up to the most current quality standards. Much like a doctor who has an office, staff, equipment, and needs to be updated on the latest practices in medicine, we too have these hidden costs associated with keeping your service technician performing at the highest level. When your service professional arrives t your home, it took many steps to get our vehicle and materials on-site to complete the job. So, when you see your technician at work, please understand how much actually goes into providing you with a professional service that will keep you a loyal and valued customer.

Whether it’s all of the prep work we do in order to install a new system properly instead of just “swapping it out” for a new one, to making sure we are providing the correct type of repair depending on the system age, or providing you with the appropriate maintenance recommendations based on your specific needs is what truly separates us from the rest.
Service Call – Repairs – Diagnostic Service Fee & Trip Charge
When you call for service we’ll schedule a day and time to have one of our trained technicians visit your home or property and diagnose the issues you are having with your A/C. We have a “Diagnostic Trip Charge” for that visit, and this is a standard fee that will vary slightly based on how far you are located from our dispatch office and what time of the day you’d like for us to be at the property (regular business hours, or after regular hours). This is a non-refundable charge which covers the cost for a fully trained technician to drive to your property with a fully equipped service vehicle and use their expertise to assess the problem and provide you with an estimate of the required repairs.
Repairs will be quoted as a “Flat Rate” and your technician will fully explain to you the scope of service for the suggested repairs, if any are even required, before they start doing any work. If you do not want to proceed with any of the suggested repairs, the only thing you will be charged for is our “Diagnostic Service Fee &Trip Charge”.
Our technician will provide you with options to not only get your system operational again, but may also provide you with options to give your system improved performance to keep it running longer and better than before. If you would like to proceed with only the repairs to get the system up and running, no problem! We stand behind our work with a full labor warranty.
We do offer free second opinions for service if you’ve already had another company out already. We’ll just need proof that someone was already out there in the form of a diagnosis and recommended scope of service for the repairs (typically a service call ticket), otherwise we’ll need to charge for the Diagnostic Trip Charge.

For service calls & repairs we accept: Cash, Check, or Debit/Credit Card
For commercial customers: We will charge a Diagnostic Trip Charge (minimum 1 Hour at Labor Rate), then add the additional Hourly Labor Rate for the repairs, and add the Parts and Materials used on the repair. For commercial work we also accept Cash, Check, Debit/Credit Card, or we can also set up billings terms (credit) to customers that can prove a consistent payment history.
Residential Air Conditioning Unit Replacement
When it comes time to replace your A/C system, we realize how much of a stressful moment this can be for you. Our goal is to provide you with accurate and professional pricing so as to avoid unexpected surprises and plan on a smooth project. It is impossible to provide a set fee based on the unit size like you might see in some competitor’s advertising, since each home is different and will require different labor requirements which can vary widely from home to home. The only way to advertise pricing like that is to either overcharge to cover any eventuality or do a “bait and switch” when they get to the home and do the walk through and give you the explanation as to why the price is now higher because of “X, Y, and Z”. To provide our high level of service will require us to speak/text with the decision maker in order to determine if our company is a good fit for you, and this will be followed by an installation technician being scheduled to come by and perform a full system replacement assessment at no cost to you. We’ll go through every detail with you step by step so you are in sync with us with regards to what you will be receiving in equipment and the labor to install it properly. We also provide multiple financing options for either “Low Monthly Payments As Low As $50 per month” or “0% Percent Interest From 24 to 36 months” to help provide a soft & easy landing with regards to paying for a new system.
